It was an excuse we were ok with making as since we packed up all our kitchen, how were we to cook healthy? And when we went out to eat, we were so busy it was always best and quickest to just get fast food. Then on our 7 day journey to Washington it truly was just grab and go for the road.
We ate nothing but junk and drank lots of soda to keep us awake and alert; filled or body with toxins and nasty cravings!
Now that we are setteled (for the most part) it is time to get back in gear! Nate is in training and needs to focus on it so I have been doings best to pack him healthy foods and soon he will come to the gym with me!
I on the other hand, have been to the gym and started my workouts. Eating healthier and drinking my water is also taking the drivers seat these days!
But I am going to take it a step further and will bring all of you on my journey! While at B&N picking up the latest book in the Cousin O'Dwyer trilogy, I found another book on the best sellers list by a JJ Smith.
10-Day Green Smoothie cleanse. I picked it up and sat down to read through it. I decided to totally give it a try! After I returned home I did some further research in the health benefits of green smoothies and confirmed that this was my next step.
This 10-day process will help:
-detoxify my body of all the toxins that I put in it
-clear up my skin and brighten my eyes
-diminish my nasty cravings for sweets and fast food
-reset my digestive system
-help lose some weight (book states 10-15lbs)
I am going to begin on Wednesday (11-12-14). I will take measurements and photos on a daily basis and keep up with my blog to share with you how I'm feeling and my thoughts. I am hoping it does all the amazing things the book and my research stated and if so, may motivate some of you to try it!
So stay tuned as during these two days I'm going to be prepping with my grocery shopping and mental readiness!
Cheers and Green Smoothies*
